Realm Of Nerds â October 2025 Newsletter
September has flown by in a blur of new routines, falling leaves, and cozy evenings! As autumn fully sets in, itâs finally time to light the fire, grab a blanket, and settle in with a good film â might we suggest Hocus Pocus? With the air turning crisp and the nights drawing in, weâre ready to embrace the calm before the spooky storm that is October.
And speaking of spooky â itâs officially Halloween season! October is one of our favourite months, filled with creativity, costumes, and long movie marathons. Whether youâre planning your last-minute Halloween outfit or carving pumpkins, itâs the perfect time to enjoy a few treats (and maybe a few tricks too).
The month kicked off with a bang at Megacon Live Farnborough, which was an absolute blast! We had such an amazing time meeting fellow fans, spotting some incredible cosplay, and sharing our love for all things nerdy. Did we see you there? If not, thereâs always next time!

Rie and Gemma are continuing the spooky spirit with an upcoming ghost hunt at Bron Y Garth Hospital with Haunted Houses â we canât wait to hear all about what they uncover! Back home, theyâve also been busy decorating the shop window for Halloween, so if youâre passing by, be sure to take a peek (and maybe spot Silent Bob walking his dog while youâre at it!).
Meanwhile, C has been keeping busy with college, Sea Cadets, and volunteering with the Meddwl Ymlaen project â balancing it all like a true multitasking legend!

Just a quick reminder that the shop will be closed on Friday, 17th October 2025.
As always, October brings some key dates and fun celebrations: Shwmae Suâmae Day on the 15th, Trafalgar Day on the 21st, the End of British Summer Time on the 26th, and of course, Halloween on the 31st!
